Jessica and Jason: El Paso Wedding

Weddings

As a Dallas Fort Worth Wedding photographer, when someone asks me to travel to their wedding, it is always an astounding YES!! This El Paso Wedding was no exception.

When Jessica and Jason got married last November, they wanted to surround themselves with their closest family and friends. The couple is so close to the people who mean the most to them that they didn’t want to leave anyone out of the celebration.

We started with a romantic first look and portrait session at Paso Del Norte, where they got ready with their bridal party. Followed by a stunning sunset-lit ceremony at Grace Gardens venue in El Paso. The couple wanted their wedding day to be as special as possible for everyone involved, so they put a lot of thought into every element of the day—from the location where they would get ready all the way through to making the paper cranes that would be decorating their cake, more on this later.

We started the day at Paso Del Norte, one of my favorite hotels in El Paso. This hotel had beautiful architecture as well as a rich history. When I walked into the bridal suite in the morning, all of the girls were singing along to the music and taking photos, and pouring mimosas. It was at that moment that I knew the couple had a great group of friends to be with them that day and through their marriage.

Their ceremony was just before sunset, which was stunning! As I took the photos of their ring exchange, the sunset was directly behind them and it was better than I could have ever planned!

On the other side of the venue, you can see the mountains that surround El Paso, so we did their newlywed portraits in the last bit of sunlight. Let me be the first to tell you, this was an epic sunset that turned the sky purple. These were some of my favorite images of the entire day and you will see why.

At the start of their relationship, Jason would make paper cranes and leave them around their home/work/school. So it was expected that those would show up again at their wedding in some way. They made their appearance on their wedding cake, and Jason folded each of them all by himself and decorated their cake with them. I love how every aspect of their wedding was done with purpose and intention.

Jessica & Jason’s wedding was beautiful, and it truly was a magical event. From the gorgeous sunset during their ceremony to the personal vows they were so clearly in love. I’m honored that I could be there to photograph it.

Stay truly, madly, deeply in love!

xoxo, Sarah
