If you’re planning an engagement session in New Orleans, the city’s historic French Quarter and Botanical Garden make for the perfect romantic backdrop. As a Dallas Fort Worth wedding photographer, I had the pleasure of traveling to New Orleans and capturing Catie Beth and Collin’s engagement session in the heart of the city, and it was an absolute dream.
We started their engagement session in Jackson Square, which is surrounded by charming old buildings, street performers, and artists. This iconic landmark has been a popular spot for locals and tourists alike for over 200 years, and it was the perfect place to capture the couple’s love story. Catie Beth and Collin looked effortlessly stylish, and their chemistry was undeniable, we laughed the entire time.
After capturing some gorgeous shots in Jackson Square, we walked over to their wedding venue, Marche , which is a beautiful space with stunning architecture and natural light. It was exciting to see the wedding venue before the actual wedding day and envision how we would capture their big day.
Finally, we ended their engagement session at the Botanical Garden, which was absolutely breathtaking. We were there the week after Mardi Gras, so the garden was relatively quiet, and we had most of the place to ourselves. The afternoon sun was peeking through the stunning columns, creating a stunning glow, which added to the romantic feel of the session.
As a wedding photographer, it’s always a privilege to capture a couple’s love story, and Catie Beth and Collin’s engagement session was no exception. Their love and connection were palpable, and I cannot wait to be back with them to photograph their wedding in January at Marche in New Orleans.
In conclusion, if you’re looking for a romantic location for your engagement session or wedding, consider New Orleans. The city’s historic French Quarter and Botanical Garden offer a perfect blend of charm, character, and natural beauty that will make your love story come to life.
