White Sands National park is a place where magic happens. This has been a bucket list item for me for as long as can remember since Tripp and I like to travel and explore new parks. When Jessica asked if we could travel there for her and Jason’s engagement session, there was nothing holding me back.
I traveled from Dallas to El Paso International which was about an hour and a half from White Sands NP and explored and scoped out the park. This park is a dream!! The white sand dunes go forever and blend into eachother, I couldn’t believe this was a real place! This was totally something out of a movie!! If you stand at the top of a dune you will be amazed how beutiful this park can be.
The weather was keeping us on our toes ove the previous days since this is the most rain the area has had in a while, but the weather Gods were in our favor! I had been tracking these storms all night to make sure we could have the best session ever. And we did!!
I met Jessica and Jason in front of the park before they opened, they were real troopers and agreed to do a sunrise session with me. The desert can get HOT, so the earlier we got there the longer we would be able to shoot. It was a gorgeous, overast 70 degree day. I think it was actually pretty perfect, if it was any sunnier it would have been alot hotter which is the last think you want when shooting in the desert.
Let me be the first to tell you that Jessica and Jason KILLED their session. She was telling me that they are really akward in front of the camera (aren’t we all), but they were the total opposite. They made my job way too easy, and her dress….WOW! She origionally was going to wear a dusty blue dress but when she pulled out and showed me the dress she brought, I was shocked to see a totally different dress that she had mentioned previously. This dress was literally made for her, and I don’t think anything else would have come anywhere close to doing her justice. Ya’ll check this out for yourself!! I’m so excited to share this with the world!!
